OUR JOURNEY
Longing to escape our frenetic lifestyle in Los Angeles, my husband, Michael, and I yearned for a place where a gentler pace of life could be treasured. We had long dreamt of a haven where life could be lived well – a place where time ebbed and flowed with the seasons, animals roamed freely, evenings would be drenched in heartfelt conversation and moonlit skies, and the beauty of nature could be savored to the fullest. After setting foot on the sun-drenched soils of Living Life Vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley, our hearts swelled with a love that was immediate and profound, and we were enamored by the promise of a dream about to be realized.

Spellbound by the vineyard’s unique essence, we soon unearthed the legacy of Dale Hampton, a regional wine pioneer and the former steward of this land, who planted Syrah in what we now call Living Life Vineyards. Inspired by his lasting imprint on the Santa Ynez Valley, we set out to honor his legacy, nurturing the vines using sustainable and organic farming practices, as well as minimal intervention in the cellar to make wine that lets this special site shine.
Combining my passions for nature, language, and for sharing art and food, Tabalipa Wine Co. is a nod to my artistic and culinary background, representing the joys of my life in California intertwined with the sweet simplicities of my Brazilian heritage. Every bottle made is our love letter to the land, to love, and to living life well.
